Hypnosis in the Treatment of Migraine

Hypnosis has been used extensively in the management of a range of psychobiological disorders. This case describes the use of hypnosis in the management of migraine and headaches. The patient had undergone a liver transplant following liver failure and presented for treatment for migraines that had commenced prior to the transplant. Hypnosis was used an adjunct to treatment for a complex of physical and psychological symptoms.
