Using Hypnosis in Emotional Decision Making

This case illustrates two of the major therapeutic benefits of hypnosis. First, hypnosis can be used to bypass one’s critical conscious mind, to ask the subconscious mind for cognitive input. Second, it can also be used to allow clients to imagine situations in trance and rehearse more effective coping behaviours for real-life situations.
