Darryl Maybery, Charles Sturt University

Ericksonian hypnotic techniques, NLP principles, and in particular language, are regularly used in a variety of environments.  This paper provides the reader with an overview of various techniques used in Ericksonian hypnosis and how to apply these to a range of non-hypnotic situations, principally focused on the child, within an educational context. These languaging techniques might be utilised by those who practise hypnosis as well as others, such as teachers and counselors, who are not necessarily well versed on hypnotic theory and practice.
